The standard American forest ecosystem contains a wide variety of plants and animals.
Plants found in the forest can include trees like the pine, douglass fir, and hemlock, beech, walnut, and elm, among others. They also include a wide variety of flowers like the rose, lily and tulip. Small plants like the eglantine and other small shrubs and bushes are plentiful as well. The forest is also home to numerous animal species. These include eagles, bears, coyotes, chipmunks, rabbits, earthworms, insects, frogs, deer, snake, mouse, and squirrel, just to name a few. There are also a wide variety of bird species present.
